Staff Software Engineer, Frontend (Consumer - Advanced Trading)

About the role

Lead the front-end technical strategy and roadmap for Coinbase Advanced across web and mobile, improving performance, reliability, scalability, and low-latency trading experiences. Drive multi-quarter initiatives, mentor senior engineers, establish scalable engineering practices, and partner with Product and Engineering leadership to deliver high-impact features. Requires 8+ years of iOS or Android mobile engineering experience, proficiency in Swift or Kotlin and working proficiency in the other platform, and willingness to develop cross-platform fluency. Candidates should have experience optimizing complex UI systems, leading technical strategy and multi-quarter initiatives, mentoring senior engineers, and working with high-availability, low-latency systems; responsible use of generative AI is also expected.
