Principal Software Architect (Full Stack, Design and Develop Financial Trading Applications)

About the role

Lead the architecture and hands-on development of scalable, high-performance features for FactSet’s Middle Office platform, while setting engineering strategy, standards, and best practices. Mentor engineers, drive automated testing and system modernization, and collaborate with architects and LiquidityBook teams to deliver reliable, maintainable products. Requires at least 8 years of software engineering experience, including backend and frontend development, and proven experience architecting and delivering large-scale distributed systems. A bachelor’s degree in computer science or relevant work experience is required, along with technical leadership, mentoring, problem-solving, and communication skills; financial trading systems, Java, low-latency architectures, and FIX protocol experience are preferred.
