Principal Software Architect (Full Stack, Design and Develop Financial Trading Applications)

About the role

Lead the architecture and hands-on development of scalable, high-performance features for FactSet’s Middle Office platform, collaborating with architects and LiquidityBook teams. Set engineering standards and strategy, mentor engineers, drive modernization and automated testing, and contribute to code reviews, design sessions, and technical problem-solving. Requires at least eight years of software engineering experience, including backend and frontend development, and proven experience architecting and delivering large-scale distributed systems. A bachelor’s degree in computer science or relevant work experience is required, along with a record of setting technical direction and mentoring teams; financial trading systems, Java, low-latency architectures, and FIX are preferred.
