About the role
Design, implement, and deploy enhancements to HSBC’s electronic trading platform, then support and optimize the resulting systems. Collaborate with software engineers across time zones and automate repetitive tasks to reduce operational toil. Requires at least five years of hands-on software engineering experience with low-latency or real-time systems and strong Java proficiency, including concurrency, tuning, and memory management. Candidates should also have Linux/UNIX command-line skills, strong problem-solving and debugging abilities, and experience or familiarity with agentic AI, containers, orchestration, messaging systems, data-driven optimization, and CI/CD.
